Dr. Peter Mkufya is an Agripreneurship and Socio-economic development coach and mentor, agriculture, and agricultural-related enterprises specialist, agribusiness consultant, and author with over 17 years of practical experience.

His competencies in micro, small, and medium agribusiness enterprise formation, management, monitoring, and evaluation have led to several awards, including Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2018 under the Tanzania Economic Empowerment Council (TEEC) graced by the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania. Just after acquiring a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, later a Master’s degree in Rural Development (Sokoine University of Agriculture), and a Ph.D. in Community Economic Development. (Open University of Tanzania), Peter Mkufya worked with Universal Leaf Tobacco Corporation, KickStart International, SolarAid International, and the Tanzania Sugar Board in different managerial positions.

He successfully managed to engage like-minded partners such as Action Aid, Aga Khan Foundation, SNV, Heifer, Pact International, Local Investment Climate, and many others in delivering as one. Peter Mkufya accrued functional knowledge in formulation, roll-out, and managing local and international donor-funded programs. He possesses tertiary know-how in partnership models, socio-economic leadership, procurement and logistics, institutional sales and marketing techniques, gender development issues, and renewable energy, especially solar minigrids. Currently, as he trains, mentors, and coaches entrepreneurship, projects PME, Business DS, across the region, Dr. Peter Mkufya is the chief co-founder of Elinka Agr Company since 2020 as head of research and training, with the accomplishment of transforming over 3540 entrepreneurs, mostly youths and women.
